License Agreement

Authors retain copyright in their works published in the "Journal of Discourse Analysis & Critical Studies". By submitting and publishing an article in the journal, the authors grant the journal the right of first publication and the right to identify itself as the original place of publication.

All articles and other materials published in the "Journal of Discourse Analysis & Critical Studies" are made available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

Under this licence, users are permitted to share, copy, and redistribute the published material in any medium or format, and to adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that the terms of the licence are observed.

The principal conditions of the CC BY 4.0 licence are as follows:

  • Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given to the author(s), the original publication in the journal must be acknowledged, a link to the licence must be provided, and any changes made to the material must be indicated.
  • Reuse and adaptation: Published materials may be copied, distributed, adapted, transformed, and reused in any medium or format, including for commercial purposes.
  • No additional restrictions: Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted under the licence.

Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of their work, for example by depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a subsequently published book, provided that the original publication in the "Journal of Discourse Analysis & Critical Studies" is appropriately acknowledged.

Reuse of published material must not imply endorsement by the author(s), the journal, or the publisher unless such endorsement has been expressly provided. Third-party material included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions where expressly indicated.

The journal supports immediate open access to scholarly research and encourages the lawful dissemination, reuse, and development of published academic work in accordance with the terms of the CC BY 4.0 licence.
